Born in England 24 February 1931.Called up for British Army in 1949 served in Germany with RAOC and signed on for 3 years, promoted to substantive Sergeant and posted to Belgium then posted to Egypt, Medevaced from Egypt in 1954 and discharged.
Worked for a while in England and then migrated to Australia as a "10 pound tourist" on arrival in Australia in 1961, enlisted in RAEME, went to Vietnam in 1968 and served with 102 Fd. Wksp RAEME. On return to Australia served with 7 Fd. Sqn. Wksp. Enoggerra and Bulimba was in advance party to Townsville to 301 Fd. Wksp. & then 3 Fd. Engr. Regt. Wksp until Dischage in 1973.
Joined VVAA-Logan & Albert Sub-Branch in 1990 and elected Secretary in 1991 and served as Secretary until 2000. Elected Secretary in 2004 until now.
